Doremy rolled to her side...

Thump!

...Unaware that she was at the edge of her bed.

The baku had been exhausted ever since the entire lunar incident happened. Having to house an entire population while having to deal with the three-bodied goddess and other annoyances had completely drained her energy.

"Woke up on the wrong side, huh?"

Doremy felt herself being lifted off the ground and put back into her bed. Loose feathers flew around as the silver haired goddess flicked her wing.

"I don't want this place looking like a chicken coop, Sagume. Stop flapping your wing around." grumbled the baku, getting out of bed. "Anyways, I don't need your help, Sagume, I'm fine. You can go back to the moon. I can perfectly handle mys-"

Sagume shushed Doremy, leaning forward and touching the baku's forehead with her own.

"Burning fever. Definitely doesn't seen fine to me." whispered Sagume, leaning forward and pinning down Doremy onto the bed. "The other bakus said they couldn't handle your workload. Let your body rest every once in a while, Doremy."

Sagume placed a light, feathery kiss on Doremy's neck, then properly placed the baku back into her bed and draped a blanket over her.

"...Sagume."

Doremy tugged at Sagume's sleeve.

"...Accompany me... just for today."

The goddess smiled.

“Of course not.”

Sagume woke up, the baku still sleeping deeply in her arms. The goddess buried her face into Doremy's hair closing her eyes once more.

“I hate you so much. I hate you from the bottom of my heart. Leave me. Don't stay with me forever.”
